Sneak Peek!

Hey Everyone:

Head over to Trial By Fire Games for a tantalizing glimpse at the references that will be released at Cold Wars.  Chris, who runs Trial By Fire, is running the Battle of Laguna Salada, May 25, 1820 using his very own rules.  Laguna Salada is one of the scenarios in "Adventures of the British and Irish Legions" and features the Irish Legion, supported by a small contingent of British Legion and several hundred Venezuelan troops, taking on an ad hoc Royalist army just outside the town of Riohacha.  This will be the first public exhibition of the scenario and the figures so it will be an exciting time for certain.

The Horse and Musket version of Chris' rules use companies as the basic maneuver unit and feature simple mechanics that are influenced by a small number (but wide variety) of event cards.  There's just enough chance to keep things edgy and just enough control to have a fair shot at responding to both your opponent and Fate.  We've used the rules for everything from Alamo to Ragnarok, Samurai to Road Warrior, WW2 to Zombies.

Have a look and enjoy!
